The man came with nightsticks, teargas, horse, and whatever hatred they carried in their heart for "blacks". " For centuries African-Americans have tried to make a stand against the abuse of the white man, with every battle they won they thought they would overcome; but they didn't. The men and women that marched on March 7, 1965 to talk to the governor about voting rights across the Edmund Pettus Bridge and were beaten for their determination. They were beaten for having hopes and dreams of equality, they were beaten for their pursuit of happiness. The white man has humiliated, denied, and demeaned the value of human life for their superiority.
Marches, strikes, protests like on Bloody Sunday were all made for the benefit of the African-American people's future. Many of the opportunities afforded by the these people of color risking life and limb many of us take for granted which is not only unfair to them, but to ourselves. We the "minorities" whether black, hispanic, female, and handicapped are as much human as the "majority". Everyone wants to be loved, everyone wants to be free, and everyone has a purpose.

SOTA's Mission Statement
OUR MISSION IS STUDENT SUCCESS...ACADEMIC, ARTISTIC, AND HUMANISTIC.
The administrators, teachers, and sentries all want to see the students be the best that they can be in life by supporting themselves physically and emotionally, strengthening their abilities in the arts, and to be morally mature for the world that awaits them.
To be academically successful can bring a better life in the sense that the student can apply his or herself more in the business world intellectually and not just logically.
For artistic success students must work to mature themselves along with their talent diligently.
Humanistic success is one of the hardest goals in life for most human beings. One must be able to respect the value of human life and moral; not only those they love and care for, but for those around them, as well as themselves.
All of these successes play off each other in the pursuit of happiness and can help all students avoid many hardships in life.

Righter of the Wrongs
What makes vigilante a vigilante? What makes the life a child worth living in a world of abuse, hate, and pain? What differentiates a thought from being not understanding and just from morally cruel and unusual? Many acts injustice make many of us human beings question the righter of the wrongs in life. What if we could avenge the death of a loved one? Would this be wrong? How does one know if it is better let whatever will be happen or follow basic instinct. Some people look to God, others look into their pain and anger, perhaps both elements are used to determine to solve the equation of righter of the wrongs. Whether one turns right or left, one thing remains to be true, the ripple effect of one's actions are unfathomable.

2. If your morning schedule involves jacking off to internet porn, taking a shower, brushing your teeth, and then jacking off once more.
3. You write about going to the bathroom or your ingrown toenail on your facebook account.
4. If you choose masturbating on the internet over having sex with your girlfriend or boyfriend.
5. When you start to order take out food online
6. If you have to sneak what you're doing at work, school, or at home.
7. Exceed over 5 email accounts.
8. Hopefully not, but if you make videos of yourself high or drunk.
9. You've spent more than $1,000 shopping online.
10. If you are actually reading ALL of this post.
1-3 0ut of 10; give the computer a rest for a couple of weeks.

Doin' Diapers
We all know that teen pregnancy is common enough, and that is not an easy job. Finishing school, supporting your child, and working a full-time job is damn near impossible. Not to mention the judgment that single mothers whether teens or adults experience. However many mothers are often unprepared and focused on themselves since they still have to grow up as well. My brother has a beautiful baby boy that is only a day old, however he is concerned about going to prom. IS there something wrong with this picture? Children are a gift if and when you are ready for them. When any parent male or female makes the conscientious decision to have a child, they must realize that sacrifices must be made for the child whether the pregnancy is unexpected or not.

One Mind, One Vote
Should there be literary tests? Tancredo seems to think so. However many Americans would have to disagree. Though understanding literary tests can provide a better understanding of the government body, the knowledge of the three branches won't change the fact that a democrat supports healthcare so as to help those with disabilities such as down syndrome, being blind, or being deaf; whereas the republican does not. Having knowledge does not always mean that the best decisions will be made for the nation. Compassion and sacrifice must be given to the people as a whole, no matter if they are illiterate because they are still human with human needs. Everyone should think of what is best for their community not just themselves.

"Our desire to conform is greater than our respect for objective facts."
- Margaret Drabble
Since the beginning of time, there has always been a structure for the way life is supposed to be given by the superior being(s) and/or nature. Society has been made to shape the ideas of the superior(s) usually holding no sense of right or wrong. Society's "one mind" has been centered on the mind of others instead of our own and what may actually be in our best interest. If you look through our history of war, media, human behavior many people are followers not leaders. In the past; communist China, the next generation's down-heel spiral following the lives of movie stars and rappers, even the constant gossip are all things that have yet to go out of style. Therefore this quote by Miss Drabble speaks only the truth about the past, present, and likely the future traditions of the world's inhabitants.

Comments on Using the R-word
If Rahm Emmanual did in fact say "f**king retarded", then Sarah Palin did deserve an apology from him. People who are retarded or who have any other disability don't choose to be that way and have to live the best they can with it. However the word retard itself is a condition not a insult. It is often portrayed maliciously towards those who are considered "stupid" or an act that is considered stupid, which is why many people resent the word. There is nothing wrong with the word "retard", it's just the context that many people use it in that makes it wrong.
